DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY MARKS GIS DAY WITH SPECIAL EVENT, NOV. 19

The Department of Geography, University of Lagos will mark the 2014 Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Day with a special event on November 19. The event which will feature Map Gallery and Special Poster Presentations by students and staff is slated to begin at 11a.m. in Room GO5 (Special Geography Classroom), Arts Block, UNILAG, Akoka. The GIS day is a global event held during the Annual Geography Awareness Week, a geographic literacy initiative of the National Geographic Society. The Theme of this year’s GIS day is “DISCOVERING THE WOLRD THROUGH GIS”. Members of the University community are invited.
